Group Operations Manager – Well-known Hotel Group – Papua New Guinea

Job Decription:

  • Salary: Up to Australian Dollars 132,000 Net + Bonus Structure based on KPIs + Fully Furnished Accommodation + Annual Leave + Company Car and Mobile Phone + Medical Care + Air Tickets

Key Requisites:

  • Candidate MUST have previous pre-opening experience gained (having managed multiple pre-opening would be a certain advantage)
  • Candidate MUST be in the position of a Group Director of Operations or Regional General Manager or Area General Manager or Cluster General Manager for the last 3 years managing more than 5 hotels as well as overseeing the pre-opening of multiple properties
  • Candidate MUST have strong working knowledge of Finance & Administration, Human Resources and Training, and projects coordination to achieve best results for individual hotels and collectively the hotel group.

Our client is a well-known hotel group managing several properties with new ones coming soon. To manage the overall operations of all their existing properties as well as manage the pre-opening of new hotels in Papua New Guinea, we are now searching for a highly experienced Group Operations Manager.

The Group Operations Manager will be responsible for managing individual Hotel Managers. The Group Operations Manager will also remain responsible for all day-to-day operations of the group covering guest services, operating performances including operating costs that leads into each hotels P/L. Monitoring of debtors, human resources, sales, promotions, yield management, maintenance and food and beverage operations is absolute key to ensure that the overall operations are being managed in a highly efficient manner.

Key Profile:

  • Must have prior experience in developing / emerging countries managing the operations of more than 5 existing hotels as well as overseeing the pre-opening of at least 2 to 3 new hotels
  • A proven record of accomplishment as Group Director of Operations or Regional General Manager or Area General Manager or Cluster General Manager for the last 3 years
  • Offer on-going strategic support to individual hotel/resort General Managers for properties already up and running
  • Able to analyse market trends and develop analysis to manage assets intelligently
  • Able to prepare a thorough analysis of properties to take over and build new properties in growing markets
  • Able to maximize Revenue and remain a constricted cost controller
