  • Property: Luxurious resort with more than 200 villas, more than 5 F&B outlets + spa + extensive water sports
  • Resort caters for families, couples, groups and honeymooners
  • Salary: Up to US$54,000 + Accommodation + Medical cover + Annual flight + 2 R&R's per year
  • Location: Sunny Maldives
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is a must
  • Confidently lead a staff of over 100
  • Candidates who have worked previously in large 5 star resorts are considered for the role - Prior large Caribbean resort work experience is a plus
  • Would suit a young, dynamic professional who strictly adheres to brand standards and believes in offering guests an unmatched culinary experience
  • Candidate MUST be very innovative and develop the staff in the best possible manner
  • Must have a very good eye for detail with emphasis on quality at all times
  • Must be very hands-on and ‘on the floor’ and showcase a very sociable personality to mingle with the guests

Our client is one of the leading luxury 5 star brands operating a very busy 200 plus villas resort in Maldives. To manage their exquisite food and beverage services, they now require the services of a young, dynamic Director of Food and Beverage who will focus on all activities of the department and manage the operations with strong focus on hiring and training employees, creating SOPs, financial goals and budgets, and sales and marketing strategies to develop the business. The candidate will train the staff to offer the guests exceptional customer service.

The candidate MUST have a proven track record in development of concepts, promotion strategies, training and leading the F&B team as well as improving the revenue streams. The candidate MUST have exceptional experiences within large 5 star resorts (prior large Caribbean resort work experience is a plus) working as Executive Assistant Manager - Food and Beverage or Director of Food and Beverage.

You will enjoy a hands-on management role, where you can lead your team to exceptional standards. You will work well as part of a busy team and will have the skills and abilities to work in a multicultural environment.

Key Attributes:

  • Have a degree or a diploma in hospitality
  • Must have at least 8-10 years’ experience in F&B operations and presently working as Director of Food and Beverage with a large resort featuring more than 5 F&B outlets,and extensive luxury accommodation facilities with over 200 keys
  • Very social personality who likes to greet/meet guests
  • Must be able to significantly contribute towards achieving KPIs and set goals
  • Develop promotion plans by working closely with the Executive Chef, Front office and Sales teams
  • Able to train and coach the workforce and lead by example – must possess outstanding training and mentoring skills
  • Able to train and coach the workforce and lead by example
  • Showcase clear emphasis on quality and maintain excellent guest services at all times
  • Capable enough to work on cost control, budgets and supervise other required details of the department’s financial records
