Our client is managing a luxury boutique hotel in Nigeria. To manage the hotel's overall finance activities and lead the finance department, our client is presently searching for an experienced Financial Controller.

Key Profile:
  • Candidate MUST hold relevant finance/accounting qualifications
  • Confidently compile annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Ability to manage a multicultural team of 11
  • Monitor revenue streams with a close eye on expenditure
  • Have a solid understanding of stock control, procurement, inventory and cost of goods
  • Liaising with statutory authorities including government institution, banks and auditors
  • Able to lead the finance and revenue team with strong motivation
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and cash flow management
  • Candidates must have worked in an international luxury or upscale Hotel Brand
  • Strong knowledge of working with Opera/Micros/Sun and materials control
  • Ability to analyse trends and recommend financial strategies to improve bottom line results
  • Experience managing a multi-cultural team
  • Essential that the candidate understands both owner’s financial expectations and management company's obligations
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable in dealing with Corporate officials as well as owners and their representatives
