Cluster Food and Beverage Manager - Central Africa

  • Salary: US$54,000 Net + Accommodation + Benefits
  • 2 Properties to manage (one five star luxury property and one popular family resort) with over 400 rooms, more than 10 function rooms, 7 outlets and outdoor catering for up to 500 pax
  • Single or married status(no schooling offered)
  • Candidate with African experiences as Food and Beverage Manager or Food and Beverage Director with large city properties will be highly preferred

Our client is managing 2 upmarket and well-known properties in Central Africa - one five star luxury property and one popular family resort. Both properties together feature over 400 rooms, more than 10 function rooms, 7 outlets and outdoor catering for up to 500 pax. We are now looking for a Cluster Food and Beverage Manager who has the ability to manage the operations of both properties.

Key Profile:

  • Must have at least 5 years experience as Food and Beverage Manager within leading international 5 star hotel companies with some prior or present African experience in a large city hotel
  • Candidate must be highly creative and have the ability to inject motivation and innovation in the team
  • Candidate must be hands-on and have a social personality to be able to mingle with the guests and service according to their needs
  • Candidate MUST have an exceptional Food and Beverage management background
  • Candidate MUST have developed and implemented innovative training and development programs
  • Have exceptional organisational, administration, time and people management skills to efficiently manage the operations of 2 properties as well as simultaneous outdoor catering and indoor functions
  • Must be able to manage a multicultural team of about 100
  • Should be a very hands-on individual
  • Excellent guest contact skills
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Work with the Human Resources department for all HR needs
  • Sound understanding of various POS and PMS systems
  • Must be able to significantly contribute towards achieving KPIs and set goals
  • Should have a sound knowledge on Sales and Marketing to develop promotions on a regular basis
  • Able to train and coach the workforce and lead by example
  • Capable enough to work on cost control, budgets and supervise other required details of the department’s financial records
  • Showcase clear emphasis on quality and maintain excellent guest services at all times
  • Implement and benchmark brand standards
  • Remain in-charge of stocks and negotiate on contracts with 3rd party vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain and implement proper levels of hygiene and safety measures
