We are looking for a dynamic and out-of-the-box thinking General Manager to lead and manage operations for pre-opening a new city hotel featuring 150 units in rooms and residences. The property is in pre-opening phase which is due to open in early 2018 and therefore it is necessary that the entire pre-opening operation is handled with utmost attention to detail and costs are incurred with adherence to budget. The property will feature specialty F&B outlets offering uncompromising quality in all aspects. The same high levels of standard will be followed in offering world class accommodation, wellness and leisure facilities.

Candidate will have to showcase strong knowledge of sales and marketing as well as finance.

Position Specifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as General Manager with high-end resorts and hotels in Middle-East, Africa, Asia or Europe
  • Pre-opening and project management experience is non-negotiable and the candidate will be required to their experience in this regard in further detail during the interview process
  • Must have strong F&B background with thorough knowledge of Rooms Division services
  • Must have exceptional Sales and Marketing experience to drive promotions and bottom line revenue
  • Must be a true motivator to enhance revenue streams
  • Proven track record with regards to cost control
  • Able to develop employees according to the set benchmarks
  • Have strong understanding of sales, marketing, branding & e-commerce knowledge
  • Ensuring perfect coordination between individual departments
  • Strong operational background with hands-on attitude to daily operations and exceeding guests expectations
