Our client is opening a new leisure resort in the Maldives in Q3 of 2018. We are now looking for a very dynamic individual who has a solid background in sales with very strong Indian Ocean experience and the knowledge to sell high-end products and services such as the ones offered by our client. The candidate will be offered the role of a Director of Sales. The candidate MUST have excellent network across Europe to sell and promote the resort's services.

 

Key Profile:

 

  • Candidate MUST be presently a Director of Sales with an international brand in the Indian Ocean for the last 4-5 years
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years senior Sales & Marketing experience with high end super deluxe resorts
  • Excellent in multi-tasking and taking over the activities of the PR department as well in conjunction with the Revenue, Reservations and E-Commerce departments
  • Responsible for overall sales strategies and product/brand positioning of the resort with an emphasis on selling a very unique and exceptional lifestyle product
  • Development of all Sales SOPs
  • Development of all pre-opening and post opening sales activities
  • Compilation of initial Sales budgets and strategies
  • Responsible for contracting of all international suppliers as well as having very strong network/relations with key operators, airlines, tourist offices, sales and marketing affiliations, etc.
  • Assist on recruitment of sales team
  • Attend suitable trade and road shows in feeder markets
  • Must have prior high end luxury exposure
  • Must be well connected in the high end leisure segments for all feeder markets for the Maldives particularly Europe
  • Degree or equivalent hospitality related qualification is required
  • Running successful campaigns for digital sales and marketing, handling brand communication and e-commerce activities
  • Ability to analyse market trends and draw up precise competitor analysis/results to change strategies
  • Showcase exceptional knowledge of branding, marketing and cultural awareness 
  • Candidate MUST be an effective strategist and should be highly organised 
  • Have the ability to remain highly creative, and innovative brining fresh ideas to the table
  • Keep a strong line of liaison with the marketing team and develop suitable products, brand presence and strategies to offer exclusive services
  • Should be very much hands-on and happy to roll up the sleeves and get the job done
  • MUST be a team player and provide motivation to the team
  • Work closely with stakeholders and senior management to ensure complete understanding and implementation of sales strategies
  • Candidate MUST have an attitude to not just hit targets but exceed the targets as well
