Our client manages an Award-winning hotel operation
in Ayers Rock, Northern Territory offering exclusive accommodation,
food and beverage, business and conferencing as well as comprehensive
weddings and functions services with clear emphasis on quality and guest
services.
We are now looking for a dynamic and talented
individual with a sparkling and lively personality and a go-getter
attitude to dawn the role of a Conference & Events Assistant Manager.
The
individual must have excellent knowledge of managing medium to large
sized events, functions and meetings. Moreover, the candidate’s profile
must have a strong background in supervising and coordinating things
right from the negotiations stage up to the follow-up after completion
to gain customer feedback and ensure repeat business.
Key Attributes:
- Must have a strong background in managing events and functions within 5 star properties or large event management companies
- Able to chart quotes
- Sell all facets of the hotel’s services including rooms and F&B
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Coordinate all inquiries and conduct site inspections
- Ensure repeat business by providing excellent customer service and anticipating customer’s requirements
- Cross-sell within various group properties
- Create and update Meeting & Events SOP’s and Policies
- Should be able to work unsupervised or as part of a team
- Manage and maintain OH&S policies
- Organize various activities with the operations team and ensure smooth operations
- Strong knowledge of sales and marketing
- Thorough knowledge of financials and cost control
- Attend and conduct daily/weekly/monthly operations meetings
- Immaculate grooming and personal presentation
