Executive Sous Chef - Luxury City Hotel - Ghana

  • Work Status: Single
  • Salary: up to US$3200 per month Net + Live in Accommodation + Medical Cover + Annual flight home
  • Multiple Food & Beverage outlets and banqueting business for up to 800 guests
  • Candidates must have prior experience in five star internationally branded properties and African exposure would be a distinct advantage
  • Candidates must be currently in an Executive Sous Chef role in a five star Hotel

Our client is managing a leading 5 star hotel in Ghana and is searching for a highly experienced and trained Executive Sous Chef to oversee the activities of the entire kitchen division in support of the Executive Chef.

The ideal candidate will have a very strong working background within a multi-cultural environment and be responsible for budgets and cost control, recruitment and development of the kitchen team, HACCP, Health and Hygiene monitoring and maintenance as well as remain highly creative in designing eclectic menus.

Key Attributes:

  • Must have a strong background in being associated with leading international 5 star hotel chains within Europe and Africa
  • Background in Corporate or large city hotels is essential
  • Provide supervision, training, direction and leadership to all kitchen staff
  • Ensure smooth operation in the kitchen areas
  • Ability to lead and train a team of more than 40 
  • Monitor all the food preparation for buffet, casual and fine-dining as well as banquets and events
  • Should be in control of purchasing, receiving and storing
  • Ensure the highest level of food safety and security
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English
  • Have strong leadership and training skills
  • Should be HACCP certified
