Executive Sous Chef for Banqueting - Luxury Five star Hotel, GCC Region

Job Decription:

  • 5 star hotel in the GCC with over 350 rooms and more than 15 high-end F&B outlets
  • Salary: Up to US$34,000 Net + Expat Benefits + Accommodation + Bonus
  • Status: Single
  • Candidate MUST be willing to sign a 2-year contract
  • Candidate MUST have experience for 5 star deluxe properties with large, high volume F&B production with at least 10 outlets and large banquet facilities of more than 2500 pax

Our client is managing a luxury 5 star hotel in the GCC region. It will offer high-end state-of-the-art accommodation and an exclusive range of more than 15 F&B outlets along with banqueting and functions facilities for more than 2500 pax. To manage the overall banqueting activities at this luxury hotel, we now require the services of a well-experienced Executive Sous Chef.

The ideal candidate will have a very strong working background within a multi-cultural environment and be responsible for budgets and cost control, recruitment and development of the kitchen team, HACCP, Health and Hygiene monitoring and maintenance as well as remain highly creative in designing eclectic menus.

Key Attributes:

  • Must have a strong background in being associated with leading international 5 star hotel chains within Middle-East or GCC region
  • Ability to manage on site and off site catering facilities
  • Background in large luxury city hotels is essential
  • Provide supervision, training, direction and leadership to all kitchen staff
  • Ensure smooth operation in the kitchen areas
  • Monitor all the food preparation for buffet as well as banquets and events
  • Should be in control of purchasing, receiving and storing
  • Ensure the highest level of food safety and security
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English
  • Have strong leadership and training skills
  • Should be HACCP certified
